How to navigate the Lnk8 platform

Once you are logged into https://lnk8.co/, you will see the following dashboard:

Let’s briefly look at all these features at the top of the page.

Dashboard

When you navigate to the 'Dashboard' option in the menu, you'll access a comprehensive screen displaying all the URLs you've shortened, accompanied by some options.

These options include:

• Copy: This button will copy the URL to your clipboard, and it can be pasted anywhere you want (like in an email).
• QR Code: This option will generate a QR Code for the link that can also be put up on physical billboards or ads and can be scanned by users to reach the URL directly without having to type the URL in their browsers.
• Share: The share button allows you to share the generated short URL via any social media platform (only available on mobile devices).
• Analytics: Track your URL to get insights on how the users interact with it.
• Edit: This option allows you to edit the destination URL in case you want to change it or update it.
• Delete: Don’t want the URL to be valid anymore? Simply use the delete button!

While the other options are self-explanatory, let's dive into the analytics feature available for short URLs. 

• The number of times each link was clicked across days, for example, 100 times on Monday, 50 times on Tuesday, and so on.
• The number of times each link was clicked across months, for example, 1,000 times in January, 900 times in February, and so on.
• Number of clicks received per link for each time of the day, i.e., morning, afternoon, evening, and night.
• Number of clicks received per link across different locations.

Not only this, but the links page allows you to see the QR code for each link and also gives you the option to copy, delete, or share the link. So, it’s fine if you were not able to do any of these when first creating the link, you can always come back here to perform these actions.

With a pro account, you can get these additional insights:

• The browsers that were used to open each link and how many times the link was opened per browser.
• The operating systems (OS) that were used to open each link and how many times the link was clicked on each OS.
• The devices (desktop, mobile, etc.) that were used to open each link and how many times the link was clicked on per device.

Creating custom short links

Apart from using the homepage to shorten links, the dashboard also gives you the option to shorten your links once you’re logged in. Here, you can create a short URL for a target link with any custom domain that you have linked to the platform and a customised back-half rather than a random string of letters.

P.S.: You can use the shorten/track links option in the features menu to reach the ‘Dashboard’ and view the tracking information.

 

Link in bio

To access the 'Link in bio,' simply click on the 'Features' tab located in the navigation bar. You will see an option to create a clickable URL for yourself that you can share on various social media platforms. It directs to a webpage where you can place all your links and direct your audience. You can add blogs, websites, social media pages, etc. - all under one page and one link.

If you already have a bio created, this page will show you options to modify and customise this web page.

You can add multiple links on your webpage by clicking on “New Link”. Not only this, you can copy the bio link and also generate a QR code for it. This page also gives you the option to edit the link.

You can also look at the overall analytics of the bio webpage.

To edit the webpage, simply click the pencil icon at the bottom of the demo screen, and you will see options to change the Font style, size, colour, and background colour.
